The Brooklyn native now Southern California transplanthas diversified his portfolio as the founder of NYLA Production. Arriola’s due diligence as a producer has allowed him to enjoy immediate success on his first film Will to Love in 2015 (starring Keisha Knight Pulliam, Marques Houston, and Draya Michelle) which was written and directed by Chris Stokes. The straight to DVD project proved very lucrative with TV One buying the rights immediately after post production.
After receiving instant acclaim for his debut film, he went on to executive produce " A Weekend with The Family " alongside Chris Stokes again in 2016 (starring Marques Houston and Karrueche Tran) which premiered in select AMC Movie Theatres and exclusively on TV One and " Only For One Night " (starring Brian White, Karrueche Tran, and Angelique Pereira) which made its global premiere exclusively on BET Networks September 3, 2016. With Louis at the helm of NYLA Production, he will continue to watch his projects flourish with several projects on the horizon such as: " Howard High " and " Boy Bye ".
The drama series Up North has amassed critical acclaim as the recipient of four awards at this year’s Series Fest, recognizing some of the best independent television in the production industry. The project also picked up four awards including: Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Pilot, while also winning the overall Audience Award (which is voted on by the attendees). This project is centered around an innocent African American teen who is arrested for a crime he didn’t commit, and as a result he gets trapped in the New York prison system.
Never to leave a stone unturned the strategic financier, and consummate business professional has dabbled in everything from foreign and domestic real estate to small business ventures since 2010. Currently, he is building a production office in the Dominican Republic, and is the owner of a regenerative medical center called Gentera LLC, in Miami which specializes in stem cell therapy.
Louis Arriola is devoted humanitarian who spends most of his down time giving back to his church and underserved communities. His greatest accomplishment is being a loving husband to his wife Sharlene of 27 years and father to three beautiful daughters Christina Arriola, Taryn Sims, who is an accomplished production designer and Jadyn Arriola, a make-up artist on the rise.
